Here’s your quick monthly Lugara update. We keep it brief so you can see what’s new and get back to exploring places.
What’s new
New Exploration Wheel (beta): The Exploration Wheel turns your travel history into a visual fingerprint, showing how your trips spread across continents, climate zones, and trip lengths. It gives you a quick sense of the places and patterns that define your journey. Check it out on your profile.
New Exploration Score (beta): The Exploration Score goes deeper by measuring how much of your travel is true exploration versus revisiting familiar places. You also receive a travel character that reflects your style, ranging from Devotee to Trailblazer.
The score appears once you have enough trips for a meaningful result and becomes more accurate as you add more, and we’re still tuning the algorithm behind it. See your own score and let us know what you think!
Smarter tax residency visibility: We refined when the tax residency section appears at the end of your profile, so it shows only when it is actually useful. It remains private to you and is now more selective, avoiding distraction for casual travelers.
A refreshed landing page and signup experience: The website and auth flow got a full revamp, including a new FAQ section to make everything smoother and easier to understand before you dive in.
A long list of bug fixes: If something felt odd when signing up, creating your first trips, or looking at your map and profile, chances are it’s resolved now. The app should feel snappier across the board.
Cleaner empty states: Your profile now looks better when you’re just getting started, with clearer guidance on what to do next.

Free plan boosted to 10 trips: You now have more room to log your past travels before deciding whether you need the full plan.
Claim your username: Swap the default number salad for a clean username for your profile link, such as lugara.me/@awesome. You will find the option in your account settings.
Pro plan is 40% off for 1 more week: Start at 3 EUR/month — roughly the price of a good cortado, and the lifetime plan is reduced too.
You can upgrade any time from your billing settings for unlimited trips, to support ongoing development, and for general good karma.
