# Collect Countries and Continents

> Every new country adds its flag to your pin collection, and every continent gets a card that fills up as you go. One look shows how much of the world you've covered.

Your collection counts your countries against the world's 197 and shows the share you've seen. Its last card counts the countries still waiting for you.

## Fill Your Continent Cards

Each of the six continents gets a card with the number of its countries you've visited and a bar that grows with each new one. Flip a card to see the flags you've collected there. A continent you haven't been to yet shows how many countries it has.

## Every Country Counts Once

The 197 countries are the 193 member states of the United Nations plus Kosovo, Palestine, Taiwan, and Vatican City. A territory counts for the country that governs it, so a trip to Hong Kong collects China. Your collection counts the trips you've taken and the one you're on, and a planned trip joins once it begins.

## Share Your Collection

The Share button on your collection makes an image of your flags with a short message of your own, ready to post or download. If your profile is public, the image shows its address. [Lugara Product Brief #2](https://lugara.me/log/product-brief-02) introduced the image.
