# Blazing Fast Trip Entry

> Write where you went, when, and how you got there in one sentence. You get the trip with its city, dates, and transport worked out, whether it lies behind you or ahead.

* One sentence per trip, in your own words
* The city, country, dates, and transport filled in for you
* Past trips, the trip you're on, and the trips you plan

Type a trip the way you'd tell a friend about it, such as "took the train to Vienna last Friday, back on Monday". Dates can be relative, like "tomorrow" or "for ten days", and a date without a year falls in this year. Leave the date out and the trip starts today.

## Check the Trip Before You Save It

Before you save, you see the trip your sentence describes. If the sentence left out the end date or how you traveled, you fill it in there. The location button fills in the city you're in right now, and if you prefer separate fields for each detail, you can switch to the classic form.

## Look Back or Plan Ahead

Add the trip you took years ago, the one you're on, and the one you're planning. A planned trip shows up on your map and in your trip list right away, and counts toward your statistics and collections once it begins.

Each trip is one city. For a journey through several cities, add a trip for each, and the map connects them when one follows the other.

## Record How You Got There

Each trip notes how you traveled: plane, train, bus, campervan, car, motorcycle, boat, bicycle, or on foot. Your statistics turn that into a card with the trips and the distance for each. [Introducing Transport Modes](https://lugara.me/log/introducing-transport-modes) explains what they add to your statistics.

## Bring Your Travel History Along

If you kept track on NomadList, import its export file in your settings, where you can also restore a Lugara backup. With Lugara Pro, NomadList sync keeps bringing in the trips you add there.
