# Sync Your GitHub Location

> The location on your GitHub profile follows the trip you're on.

1. Open Settings, then Sync, and select Set Up next to Sync to GitHub profile.
2. Allow Lugara to update your GitHub profile.
3. Back on the Sync page, turn on Sync to GitHub profile.

A check mark next to the option shows that your GitHub account is connected, and Last sync shows when Lugara last checked.

## Lugara Sets Your City Every Six Hours

Every six hours, Lugara sets your GitHub location to the city and country of the trip you're on, such as "Lisbon, Portugal". Between trips, your GitHub location stays as it is.

Turn off Sync to GitHub profile to stop it. Your GitHub location keeps the last city Lugara set.
